Robocop

In the near future, the city of Detroit, Michigan is on the verge of collapse because of financial ruin and crime rampant. The mega corporation Omni Consumer Products enters into a contract with the city to run the police. OCP plans to destroy the "Old Detroit" and replace it with the utopia of "Delta City". Recognizing that law enforcement is not enough to stop a crime spree, OCP operates several programs to find the robotic replacements. A program, the ED-209 enforcement droid, led by Senior President Dick Jones (Ronny Cox), malfunctions and kills an executive in the course of his demonstration. As a result, the president of OCP (Dan O'Herlihy) opts for a program cyborg helmed by young executive Bob Morton (Miguel Ferrer), called "Robocop." Jones is furious with Morton to go over his head.
