Magneto

Magneto
MagnetoMagneto, whose real name was discovered only after a long time, is Max Eisenhardt and not as it was always believed Erik Magnus Lehnsherr, is a cartoon character created by Stan Lee (text) and Jack Kirby (drawings) in 1963, published by Marvel Comics. It is a mutant of the most powerful and influential of the Earth.

Magneto came in first place among the greatest villains in the history of comics, the Joker and in front of Dr. Doom.

Magneto in action

Magneto has a huge control over the electromagnetic forces, so as to influence the Earth's magnetic field. The extent of his powers, combined with extensive experience in their use, allows him to exploit them in many ways: it can control the ferromagnetic metal (a control that allows him to lift weights and manipulate the huge metal sub-atomic level, even adamantium), can fly using the Earth's magnetic field, can erect shields, generating magnetic storms, and has also been shown to be able to create wormholes and abilities allow him to travel in space, also has a helmet that protects from any telepathic attack (even by powerful telepaths like Xavier). In the past some authors have attributed the control even of some other forms of energy and telepathic abilities.

In his publishing history has been both a superhero and a supervillain, although it is known primarily as the main antagonist of the X-Men. It was later developed by writer Chris Claremont, who has redefined the character substantially.

It was mentioned that the identity of Max Eisenhardt may be fake, created specifically to escape the law many years ago, while the real one would be Magnus.

Unlike Professor X, who seeks the peaceful coexistence between Homo sapiens and Homo superior, to make compromises in order to obtain it, Magneto and his followers are tough and uncompromising wing of their race, prone to conflict in order to obtain the liberation and supremacy on the planet. Magneto is also the head of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, a group in which they fought, among others, his children Scarlet and Quicksilver. But he was also King of the Hellfire Club White, leader of the Acolytes and sovereign nation of Genosha mutant.
